Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ShipDubai ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our UK-to-Dubai shipping service and website (shipdubai.co.uk). We are the data controller for the information described here. Questions? Email charlie.gilbert@ransomspares.co.uk.

Information we collect

• Contact & address details — your name, email, phone, UK collection address and Dubai delivery address.
• Order & payment information — the boxes/services you book and payment confirmation. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
• Shipment contents — a description of what you're sending, required by law for the customs declaration.
• Usage data & cookies — if you consent, analytics and advertising cookies that tell us how the site is used and which ads lead to bookings.

How we use it

• To arrange collection, shipping and delivery of your boxes.
• To prepare and submit the customs declaration for export from the UK and import to the UAE.
• To take payment and send order confirmations and shipping updates.
• To measure and improve our website and advertising (only with your consent).

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads to understand traffic and measure ad performance. These set cookies only after you accept via our cookie banner — until then they run in a privacy-preserving, cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode). You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site's cookies. We may enable additional advertising tools (such as Meta Pixel) in future; if we do, they will be covered by the same consent controls.

Who we share it with

• DHL Express — to collect, ship and deliver your parcels, and for customs clearance.
• UK and UAE customs authorities — the declaration and commercial invoice for your shipment.
• Stripe — to process your payment securely.
• Supabase — our database provider, which stores your order securely on our behalf.
• Google — for the analytics and advertising described above (with consent).

We never sell your personal data.

International transfers

Because we ship from the UK to Dubai, your delivery and customs details are necessarily shared with DHL and the relevant authorities in the United Arab Emirates in order to deliver your shipment.

How long we keep it

We keep order and customs records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal, tax and customs obligations, after which they are securely deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent for cookies at any time. To exercise any of these, email charlie.gilbert@ransomspares.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above shows when.
